Clapham to Ingleborough Cave
Catherine and Martin Monaghan will be leading us on a lovely walk from Clapham up to Ingleborough Cave! (Total walk distance 2.5 miles).
Meeting earlier than usual at 10.00 for a 10.30 start at St James’ Church at the top of Church Avenue.
There is parking at the National Park pay and display but there is usually plenty of on-street parking further up the road on Church Avenue. The postcode for Clapham is LA2 8HH.
There is the opportunity to visit Ingleborough Cave, open from 10.00 – 3.00, and dogs can go in. It costs £9.00 to visit and the tour lasts about 50 mins. Coffee and snacks are available at the cave shop, but no inside seating or toilets at this point.
**We will find out if people are interested in visiting the cave in a discussion post nearer the time**
The pub in the village is called the New Inn Hotel. It’s dog friendly, and is carpeted. There is also a community shop for take out snacks and coffee.
Toilets are situated in the National Park car park.
